These particular structions can be used as a stand alone learning experience or if you wish you can save them and use them as the background of a design that we will tackle in the final issue of our mini structions. Divide and Conquer We all know how annoying it is to embroider a design and have parts of the design jump all over the place to sew. You just can’t understand why the digitizer would have created such a maze of jump stitches. Sometimes it’s just easier that way. You get the design digitized in a hurry but spend the extra time trimming stitches that are caught under other stitches.
This mini-struction is a lesson in digitizing. We will focus on creating a minimal number of jump stitches by using a little extra time at the beginning. The software has a Blackwork run feature that works really well for some things but can’t always be used in all applications. That’s enough of a reason to learn to digitize without jumps if possible.
