Structions

These 6 lessons are extensions and embellishments to our main software workbook (recommended but not required) and  are written to bring you closer to a personal understanding of Bernina's Version 5 software. All 6 lessons are $39.95 total, plus shipping at actual cost.  Approximately 10 to 15 pages each, totaling  about 70 pages or more. All six are available as a package (39.95) with immediate shipment.  .The packet arrives ready for your notebook

The following, from the first page of number 5 of 6 Structions, is a short selection for your free viewing.  These particular structions can be used as a stand alone learning experience or if you wish you can save them and use them as the background of a design that we will tackle  in the final  issue of our mini structions.

Divide and Conquer

We all know how annoying it is to embroider a design and have parts of the design jump all over the place to sew. You just can’t understand why the digitizer would have created such a maze of jump stitches. Sometimes it’s just easier that way. You get the design digitized in a hurry but spend the extra time trimming stitches that are caught under other stitches.

This mini-struction is a lesson in digitizing.

We will focus on creating a minimal number of jump stitches by using a little extra time at the beginning. The software has a Blackwork run feature that works really well for some things but can’t always be used in all applications. That’s enough of a reason to learn to digitize without jumps if possible.
