Version 6 Software Seminar at Creative Sewing Machines. This is an intermediate level class for the V6 Designer Plus. We will meet from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM on Friday April 30, Saturday May 1, and from 9:00 AM – 3 PM on Sunday May 2. You will bring your own computer with the Bernina software loaded, the BERNINA V6 security dongle, and the Creative Sewing Machines' V6 workbook .Anyone attending must have a good knowledge of computer usage such as how to make and save files, use a mouse, locate and find the software icons and tools quickly. Other than a quick "get re-acquainted with V6" session at the beginning, we will not spend time on the basics. This is to insure that all participants will benefit from the advanced topics of the seminar and not be slowed down by folks who aren't up to speed to begin with. Therefore, we require that you study our V6 workbook to the hilt before attending the seminar and that it's pages be rag tagged from turning and turning and note taking as you work on those topics at home beforehand. The sessions you will be attending will go beyond the topics in the workbook. Throughout the seminar we will first give you overall instructions on unique projects and then turn you loose to actually use those skills to work on them. As you work on your own, we will be there to provide you individual assistance to help you where you need it.
The 3 days will be packed with project based sessions covering: Editing of existing designs especially concentrating on the newest tools available in V6. Introduction to Corel DRAW Essentials and Corel PHOTO-PAINT Essentials 4 as they can be used to enhance and supplement the BERNINA Embroidery Software. Digitizing using the Magic Wand, the Auto Digitizer tool, and Manual Digitizing using the obvious and hidden tools of the software. Going beyond the basics in digitizing: using the craft stitches, shading, outlining, blending of colors, arrangement of objects. The seminar is limited to the first 12 people who sign up. This will allow us to provide the individual assistance we've talked about above. Instructor is Sue Shrader, author of the Version 6 workbooks. Please contact us at 336 786 7074 if you have any questions.
You will work so hard you will need a watering bowl to keep your mouth dry !
