This is the last email that we sent out. We will attempt to load them each time in case you've missed it!
Well, the Autumn Leaves Festival is over with and we can officially call it fall, y'all! We have our next round of classes ready for you.
We consistently have people that want to try a beginner sewing class but so many times we don't have a project works at the time that students can take them. And then, they get two sessions into a five session course and something happens and they miss out. We hope we have come up with a solution.
Beginning this Wednesday, October 18th, and all subsequent Wednesdays until Christmas, we will have beginner class sessions available at 10:30AM. 1:30PM, and 5:15PM. The class sessions last for 2.5 hours and cost $30 per session. We have six different projects you can choose from, and you can make any or all of them. We have listed the amount of class sessions that we predict it will take you. We may be under-estimating your skill level or over-estimating your skill level. The point is, it might take one person three weeks to finish a table runner and the next student needs four sessions. You pay as you go, but you prepay to reserve your spot. Class sizes do not have a minimum but do have a maximum of only four students so we can give close attention to everyone. Each person in class may be doing a different project. A full FAQ list can be found on our website by just clicking on the event calendar and selecting the Wednesday classes. We believe we can reach more people at different times of the day, and it leaves you as much independence as you need for your schedule. For example, if you can take your project home after one session and do some homework, then bring it back for instruction on the next part, you are making the most of your instructional time. If you need us to walk you through step by step by step--that's what a beginner class is, and that's what we do.
In addition to the beginner classes, we have a really neat Hide a Bagclass that our lovely friend, Judy Kirk is teaching us. She's so patient, kind, and super smart. She's teaching it October 27th and it should be a lot of fun.
We have a new Brother Dream machine club that will be offered on the third Thursday of the month at 1PM. Our BERNINA Club is still on the second Thursday of the month, but we've switched the time to that to 1PM.
Sue is teaching a class on how to use your serger, no matter what brand you own. And if you don't have one, feel free to register regardless as we have demonstrator models that you can stitch on that day to see what it's all about. This will be a very informative class.
This lovely Maple Leaf table runner will be beautiful on your table all through November. Come join us November 7th at 10:30AM to piece this together!
Last year we had a lunch and learn class called "Embroidery on the Strange and Unusual" and I've had people ask for us to repeat it because we laughed and giggled the whole time. So...on Thursday, October 26th, we will enjoy a catered lunch from Old North State Winery and you'll leave with both a roll of toilet paper that you've embroidered and all kinds of tips and tricks to make you smile. (If you took this last year, it's basically a repeat, but you know you want to. The food has worn off by now anyway!)
One more thing, we've added an option on our website that allows your loved ones to purchase a gift card directly from our website. You might want to let everyone you know about that!!
