You are invited to join Creative Sewing Machines for our virtual BERNINA Creative Studio program via Zoom this Thursday, November 12 @ 5:00 PM.  Enjoy the presentation from the comfort of your own home and get some information on several sewing topics.  We will take about 45 minutes to an hour of your time.  Also please have your latest projects ready to show to other attendees.

We will show you the line of BERNINA pintuck feet that are paired with twin needles to add interesting detail to pillows, shirts, quilts and Christening gowns to name a few uses.  If you are new to usage of twin/double needle and how to thread your machine for the needles, this will get you started not only with pintucks but also with beautiful decorative stitching.

If you have ever wondered what else an overlocker can do besides use regular thread to serge off seams then this demo makes you want to sew with lovely thick decorative threads.  Use these ideas to finish edges on placemats, jackets, wallhanging and quilt edges.

The embroidery technique this month covers creating a hot pad for a casserole dish.  The design has been prepared for you using the BERNINA Designer Plus software.  We use the Mega hoop to embroider the design and sew the first part of the echo quilting.  Finish the echo stitching with the dual feed option or the walking foot.  The binding is sewn by bringing the backing fabric to the front and stitching in place.  The corners can be mitered for a really nice finish.

There is no charge to attend the Creative Studio meeting.  If you decide that you would like to have the embroidery design and all the written instruction plus the videos that have been put together by BERNINA educators you can bring a USB stick (at least 32 gig) by the store and we will load the presentations for $10.00.
